Ecological Performance
Greenhouse
Musical-dance-poetry environmental performance
Musical-dance-poetry environmental performance “Greenhouse” crosses metaphors of ecology and practices, makes room for critical inquiry, for gender, LGBT, queer and artistic variances.
The format of the performance has environmental inclusive design, in which bodily practices contact with gender-fluidity, a musical set is sensitive to an interpenetration of ecosystems, a poetry shakes its identity and calls for a non-toxic communication. A design where natural and socio-cultural overcome a binary, each body becomes a unique plant which freed its right to be different.

The performance consists of 5-7 parts which are based on the songs of our band. Each of part reflects a socio-political issue and has a following design: bodily practice/acting/voice practice and the song itself. We offer an interactive performance, therefore the audience will be able to take part in the offered practices along with the participants.

The performance will take place inside the installation of polyethylene, inside a conventional greenhouse, as a metaphor for the existence of an amazing and diverse biological life. The use of polyethylene in environmental performance may seem defiant, but here the idea of recycling polyethylene and the fact that its production leaves a smaller ecological footprint than, for example, cotton production is important to us, the main thing is the reasonable handling of existing materials.
Performance was made for the Suoja/Shelter festival in 2019 and the full video is available here.
And also we have a video-version in Russian here.
